“Court rules against Christian couple who claimed their beliefs on homosexuality should not prevent them becoming foster carers”

~The Guardian (UK)

A Pentecostal Christian couple have lost their high court claim that they were discriminated against by a local authority because they insisted on their right to tell young foster children that homosexuality is morally wrong.”

Hatred and intolerance should not be forced on kids. They wanted to take 5-10-year-old foster kids - a very impressionable age. I think the court got this one right.

I disagree with this ruling. I do not agree with the couples’ view on homosexuality, but the most important need is to give kids loving homes and safe environments. Keeping children from that because of one of many religious views that could be destructive or confusing is wrong. Why not keep all religious people from being foster parents? No, folks. That’s unloving to these kids.
